Water and Irrigation. Vol .: 6, No. 1: 19-20, August, 2015, Spain.
The lack of rain has caused droughts in different continents, as well as the reduction of water reserves in aquifers worldwide, increasing the risk of lack of water, food, famine and mass emigration of hundreds of millions of people. The drought strongly affects the northern hemisphere and the south, is manifested in different regions of America, Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia. In Brazil, the worst drought in 50 years severely affecting the access of water to the cities, in the case of California affects access to water and agriculture is considered. In Africa the most affected area extends horizontally from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean through the different countries bordering the North African desert. The drought has been accompanied by waves of heat rising temperatures, which has provoked in Asia the death of over 4000 people.
