Rey R., Mendez M. A., Garcia E. Espinosa, E. Altered irrigation regime in three varieties of beans in Velasco, Holguin.
Research Institute of Irrigation and Drainage. Technical Report, Havana, 1986
The altered irrigation regime in beans planted in a Dark with carbonate soil, located at the province of Holguin was studied. Three varieties were used: Velasco Large, Ica Pijao, and Cueto 25-9. It was found that the average evapotranspiration per phase of the crop is as follows: Establishment: 1.44-2.20-2.83 mm / day; Vegetative period: 2.42-2.70-4.17 mm / day; Bloom: 2.43-3.20-4.30 mm / day; Formation of harvest: 2.42-2.40-2.33 mm / day; Maturation: 1.68-1.43-1.67 mm / day for varieties Velasco Large, Ica Pijao, Cueto 25-9 respectively. In the Dark carbonate soil is recommended to maintain the level of soil moisture at 85% of field capacity.
