Juan G. R., Juan G. R. and Juan P. J. A. Tornadoes wave in the USA increases and each season is more aggressive.
Water and Irrigation Vol. 10, No. 1: 11-12, June 4, 2019, Spain.
In 2019 already 900 tornadoes have been reported in the USA, of which 693 have been confirmed causing more than 30 deaths, an enormous amount of trees uprooted, abundant rainfall and great economic losses, it is necessary to maintain the global temperature of the planet with sustainable values for cushion the damage caused by global warming. Climate change and its different effects are reaching the different areas of the planet and are becoming more aggressive every day, which together with the increase in temperature in the seas and oceans and the increase in the global temperature of the planet increase the activity of cyclones and tornadoes, which makes it more powerful and destructive each day
There have been reports during 2019 more than 900 tornadoes, according to data provided by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The bulk of the tornadoes have occurred during “tornado season”, which runs from March to June but this year began early, in January.
At least 693 have been confirmed, the more activity was in the March – 145, April – 304 and May – 442. The states more affected are in the tornadoes corridor.
Alabama, Florida, Georgia y Carolina del Sur, Ohio, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado. California were affected states, Tornadoes have killed more than 30 people this year. Some of the tornadoes have packed wind speeds of 136mph to 165mph, according USA information sources.
The Indian Ocean cyclone season has started early affecting eastern India and Bangladesh and threatens to be greatly triggered by global warming, the necessary preventive measures must be taken, an enormous amount of uprooted trees, abundant rainfall and the suspension of electricity and potable water service and 16 deaths were reported
The typhoon activity in the Pacific has already started and it is predicted to be very active, the season manifests itself most frequently between May and November, but these natural phenomena can be formed at any time of the year.
In the Atlantic Ocean, the City of Havana registered on January 27 the most violent tornado recorded in the last 80 years, the phenomenon hit Sunday night east of the capital causing at least four deaths and 195 wounded. A desolate landscape of houses reduced to rubble or semi-ruined and without roof, windows without glass, trees uprooted and cars overturned or split in two by the fall of electric poles in the districts of Regla, Guanabacoa, San Miguel del Padrón, Diez de Octubre and Havana of the East. Cuban authorities report that the tornado occurred on Sunday night in Havana, traveled 11.5 kilometers with gusts of wind up to 300 kilometers per hour, reached level F4 – damage is considered serious to devastating – on the scale of Fujita (maximum of 6).
Effects of climate change, such as sea level rise, increased oceanic heat, acidification of the oceans, melting of ice in poles and glaciers continue, extreme weather conditions have sown destruction on all continents, as indicated in the WMO Climate change and its different effects are reaching the different areas of the planet and are becoming more aggressive every day, which together with the demographic growth of the world population that already reaches 7.8 billion inhabitants and the pollution of the air by the Greenhouse gas emissions due to the action of human activity make the perspective of sustainable development and social welfare increasingly difficult to achieve by the end of the century, the increase in temperature in the seas and oceans and the increase in global temperature of the planet increases the activity of cyclones and tornadoes and allows each day to be more powerful and destructive so it is necessary to maintain the global temperature of the planet with sustainable values.
