For the calculation of project irrigation regime of potato crop for seed production and used in the population’s consumption, it was used the year of 25% probability of the total water requirements, calculated from decennial historical rainfall and evaporation not less than 20 years. In carrying out the work using information on precipitation and evaporation, hydro physical properties of soils, bioclimatic coefficient “K”, technical specifications of cultivation and a computer program to calculate the various elements of the irrigation regime.
The balance of the information held for the life cycle of the crop. The total water requirements in the potato cultivation for seed production have a national average of 2838 m3/hectare. In the cultivation of potatoes for consumption the total water requirement have a total national average of 3706 m3/hectare The irrigation average is 11 for potato seed production and 17 for potatoes intended for public consumption.
