With the purpose to determine the feasibility of using the DDA-100MA irrigation machine for surface irrigation, which were replaced shower sprinklers by hoses that discharge the water directly to the furrow, it is evaluated two types of hoses in three combinations separately and a combination of both, using low density polyethylene and Opacaflex of 70 and 36 mm in diameter, respectively.
The evaluation was conducted on a Red Ferrallitic soil of Crop Enterprise 19 April, Province of Havana, in the garlic farming. It was determined the coefficient of uniformity of water distribution in hoses at 89% and productivity of the machine irrigation in positions 25, 50, 75 and 100 meters.
The best option turned out to be 25 meters, using a combination of Opacaflex and polyethylene hoses. The yield was 7.07 t / ha, exceeding 19% in the control area irrigated by showers
