Rey, G. R. I. Delibaltov. Methodology for irrigation time prediction in the Cuban agricultural crops
Forecast irrigation time of crops is determined by bioclimatic method on the basis of: the hydro physical properties of soil, vegetative stages of the crop, the evapotranspiration bioclimatic coefficients, the rains and the evaporation. Based on the results of investigations into water requirement of crops in Cuba , the core elements were established for the prediction of irrigation for each crop that includes: evapotranspiration bioclimatic coefficients “K” by growing phase, the active layer of soil to moisten, the limited productive soil moisture that was the best respond of the crop.
It is recommended to determine the hydro physical soil properties of the enterprises in which will be conducted the prognosis irrigation, as well as establish networking of evaporímeter and rain gauges. The bioclimatic coefficients “K” were calculated by linking each evapotranspiration crop with evaporation register in a tank evaporímeter class “A” and were determined mainly for irrigation forecasting in: citrus, pasture, bananas, tobacco, potatoes, vegetables, viands and grains.
