Should be improved from the new record rainfall, the calculation of internal drainage in cities as well as clean and give more section to the channels used to drain excess water .

The floods in the state of Colorado in the United States began September 9, 2013 with heavy rains and severe flooding that affected the counties Front Range , Colorado Springs and Fort Collins , the bad weather intensified greatly damaged the county Boulder where the September 12 saw a record rainfall of 231 mm . Meteorological factors before the flood that significantly influenced on the weather , were a strong area of high pressure over southwestern Canada and another low pressure area over northwest upper level of the Rockies. The air flow around the two weather systems got an extraordinary wet food Pacific air and of the Gulf of Mexico and northward transport in Colorado. Once that the warm and moist air hit Colorado, he met a stalled frontal boundary and the Rocky Mountains, which caused cold air to rise and condense into clouds that produce heavy rains, the combined action of Manuel tropical storm in Pacific and Ingrid storm in the Gulf of Mexico created favorable conditions for the increase of cloudiness and precipitation .

Floods are the largest that have occurred in the area in decades , with an estimated of 19  thousand homes damaged and around 1,500 have been destroyed , at least 30 road bridges have been destroyed and around 20 have been severely damaged , thousands hectares of crops have been flooded. Should be improved from the new record rainfall the calculating of the internal drainage in cities as well as clean and give more section to the channels used to drain excess water .
