The total average evapotranspiration of the Elberta peach variety in the conditions of Plovdiv, in Bulgaria is 654 mm, in a loam soil, maintaining a level of soil moisture above 70% of field capacity during the cycle of the crop in a soil layer 60 cm deep, achieving this level of humidity higher yields.

The average daily evapotranspiration is 1.8 mm / day for the period from the beginning of vegetation until the end of flowering, 3.0 mm / day in the first stage of fruit development; 3.8 mm / day in the second stage of development of the fruit; 2.9 mm / day during the ripening of fruit and 1.4 mm / day from the beginning of October until the end of the growing season. The total water demand applied was 3140 m3/ha. during the period from March to September.
