In the conditions of the Experimental Station of Irrigation and Drainage, in Alquízar, province of Havana, the effect of soil moisture levels on evapotranspiration Great Banana Dwarf in a Ferrallitic Red Compacted soil was studied.
It was found that the average evapotranspiration is 4, 01- 3, 72 – 2.92 mm / day during the fomentation phase for the treatments irrigated when soil moisture descend to 95%, 85% and 75% capacity field respectively.
In the production phase the average evapotranspiration is 4.51 – 4.06 – 3.39 mm / day for the treatments irrigated when soil moisture descend to 95%, 85% and 75% of field capacity, respectively
The total evapotranspiration of Great Dwarf banana, Musa AAA ranged from 1324 to 1140 mm for the fomentation phase and 1220 to 1017 mm for the production phase according to the different soil moisture levels.
