Working with different bean varieties, was determined the main parameters of the irrigation regime in a Ferrallitic soil, in the western region of Cuba. It was studied short-cycle varieties from 80 to 90 days and long-cycle varieties of 100-110 days. The short-cycle varieties bean is represented by: Bat 58, Bat 93, Bat 304, Bat 482, Guama and Velasco, and long-cycle varieties beans are represented by the varieties Cueto 25-9 and Ica Pijao. The total evapotranspiration bean varieties ranging from 192 to 202 mm for short cycle and from 304 to 362 mm for the long cycle.
The average daily evapotranspiration for the varieties studied ranges from 1.52 to 2.60 mm / day for seed-germination stage-start flowering: from 2.50 to 3.98 mm / day for the initiation stage of flowering-fruiting- maturity; from 2.31 to 2.84 mm / day for the initiation stage of harvest maturity. The moisture limit in a Ferrallitic soil must be maintained above 80% of field capacity during the critical stages of the crop and should not be less than 75% of field capacity in the remaining stages of the crop growing period of beans crop.
