Service Integrated Water Cycle of Valencia has a number of Quality Control Units Wastewater mobile laboratories that allow detection and in situ analysis of discharges to the sewer system. Samples were taken at about 60 strategic points as the sewerage mains and sewers, which prevents the discharge of most polluting materials permitted under current regulations.

Councillor delegated area of ​​Environment and Sustainable Development, Maria Angels Ramon Llin, explained that the purpose of these analyzes is to control the quality of water flowing through the various pipes of sewage, to ensure at all times the compliance with required quality standards and environmental protection.

Samples have been taken in about 60 strategic locations like the sewage mains and sewers, along with other more comprehensive analysis in disposal areas that may have higher pollutant load, such as car washes, dry cleaners, slaughterhouses. The inspections allow the proper functioning of the entire system and wastewater treatment, to prevent the dumping of more polluting materials as permitted under current regulations.
