Juan G. R. Some considerations of the agro technique in irrigation areas.
Hydraulic Engineering. Vol. 13(3): 3-14, Havana, Cuba (1992).
Considerations are made relative on land level, soil preparation, cultivation labours, fertilization and its role in the efficiency of irrigation, varieties, and seedling stages in irrigated areas and its relationship with irrigation. The results of the effect of irrigation on crop yields in experimental and production areas are given a soon as according FAO the sensitive stages of cultivation, where a prolonged shortage of water has a direct impact on performance and hence the cost-effectiveness of irrigation. In general the crops are more susceptible to water deficit during germination, flowering and initial formation of the harvest than during the initial period after the establishment of the crop and the end of the maturation of the crop.
